Hiccups as performed in New York on July 25, 1998
 
There was a chokin' dust in the air
Your heart went out of sync with your lungs
Them hiccups out of nowhere
The kind that just
Come and come
There was a palpable interest
And it kind of grew from there
Everyone had opinions
They came flying in from everywhere
Take a drink and stand on your head
Plug your nose and count backwards from 10
And push your fingers into your ears
Until your eyes well up in tears
The room fell silent, they all strained to hear
They came from all sides and down through the years
And just then out of nowhere
Your hiccups disappear
